On the Road to Cataloochee: Cataloochee Great Smoky Mountains National Park, October 2007 Rachelle, Emily and I took Grandma and Grandpa out to Cataloochee in Great Smoky Mountains National Park to search for elk. To get to Cataloochee we took the back road, and by back road, I mean a single lane, windy, dusty dirt road. At some point along the way, we stopped so my dad and I could take some photos.
