Melton Hill Reservoir: Oak Ridge, September 2007 “Melton Hill Reservoir is on the Clinch River in east Tennessee. It extends almost 57 miles upstream from Melton Hill Dam to Norris Dam. Unlike other TVA reservoirs, Melton Hill is not used for flood control. But because it’s used for power production, the level of the water in the reservoir fluctuates about four feet throughout the year.” ~ from TVA website Melton Hill is recognized as an excellent rowing course and hosts spring training for many collegiate teams from throughout the eastern United States. Melton Hill was the site of the 2007 National Championships and several additional meets are hosted here throughout the year. (via Photos from Robby Edwards)
