View from the Tunnel: Zion National Park, September 2001 A portion of the Zion—Mount Carmel Highway passes through a 1.1-mile long tunnel that was built in the 1920s. Sections of the tunnel have been cut away; so visitors can enjoy some some truly spectacular scenery. I drove past one very slowly, so Rachelle had time to take this shot. (via Robby Edwards’ Photos)
